The Best Ways To Fix Patchy Tan

There's nothing worse than a patchy, uneven tan.

The perfect tan starts with a clean base followed by the correct fake tan application process. We’re here to give you the complete rundown on how to prep your skin like a pro and apply your fake tan perfectly to achieve the most seamless tan. We've also given you a step by step process to fix any patchy spots quickly.

PREP

Step 1: Purchase our Self Tan Remover and Exfoliating Mitt.
Step 2: Apply our Self Tan Remover to your entire body. Add extra product to areas where there may be a build up of self tan. Then leave our Self Tan Remover on the skin for at least 5 minutes.
Step 3: Rinse Self Tan Remover off in the shower and gently buff away the self tan on those stubborn areas.
Step 4: Shave, exfoliate and ensure your skin is completely free from any product. You want to be a blank canvas.
Step 5: Dry your skin and be sure to not apply any products for at least 24 hours.

APPLICATION

Step 1: Purchase one (or more!) of our best selling self tan products.
Step 2: Apply moisturiser to your elbows, knees, hands, feet and = any areas where self tan tends to leave patches and spots.
Step 3: Reach for your Luxe Tanning Mitt and begin at your feet. In long sweeping strokes apply the product to your limbs in an upward motion.
Step 4: Using the same process, apply the product to your arms, stomach, neck, chest and back.
Step 5: Wear dark coloured, loose fitting clothing while the self tan develops.
Step 6: Shower with lukewarm water, no soap. Then pat dry with a clean towel.
